About Us

Like most farms, Bolton Farm is a family business. As a matter of fact, it's home to several generations of Bolton's. In 1981, the Bolton's decided to leave the metropolitan area of San Antonio and head for the front porch of the Texas Hill Country. At that time they just wanted live in the country and work in the city. But the beauty of the land filled their hearts and they began raising traditional Longhorn cattle. Starting with 22 acres, Pat and Ginna Bolton have continued to add more land to their Hill Country adventure and they currently have 132 beautiful rolling acres in Spring Branch. A few years ago, they learned of the advantages of Dexter cattle and fell in love with the breed. Slowly they converted their herd to mainly Dexters. The farm currently raises Longhorn cattle, Dexter cattle and chickens as well as the family's pet dogs and cats. At the Bolton Farm, you can still find Pat and Ginna hard at work along side of their grandchildren. It's a wonderful life!
